Circus comes to town

Coleen Miller of Hillsboro, her grandson, Jagger, of Durham and many others watch in amazement as high-wire performers with Carson & Barnes Circus carry out acrobatic feats under the big top. More than 250 people attended the circus Sunday at the Marion County Fairgrounds. In addition to high-wire acts, jugglers, clowns, horses, elephants, and more entertained young and young at heart despite soaring temperatures. According to Amanda Pippin, marketing coordinator, Carson & Barnes travels from March to November throughout the United States. The group?s next stop was Emporia and then Topeka.
