Hillsboro High School?s FFA Chapter hosted 19 high schools for either the Earl Weineigner FFA?Invitational or the South Central District judging Monday at the Marion County Fairgrounds. Sonya Roberts, HHS adviser, said almost 300 students had preregistered for dairy cattle, nursery/landscape and horse judging. More than half of the FFA chapters in the South Central District participated with four other schools, two in the East Central and two from the North Central districts, competing in the invitational. Schools taking part in the district meet included Hillsboro, Arkansas City, Buhler, Chapparral, Centre, Goessel, Inman, Marion, Medicine Lodge, Moundridge-Hesston, Newton, Peabody, Wellington, Ellinwood and McPherson. Abilene and Linn FFA chapters attended from the North Central District and Crest 1 and Crest 2 from the East Central.
