Jerry and Lenore Dieter (starting left) of Marion make their donations as Leila Mae Schrader and Lucille Bredemeier, residents of St. Luke Living Center, look on. Schrader, Bredemeier and other St. Luke Living residents held a taco salad lunch Thursday to raise funds for victims of the Moore, Okla., tornado. Robyn Kukuk, activity and social service director at St. Luke Living, said the idea to raise funds came up during a Resident Council meeting shortly after the tornado happened. ?They have really big hearts,? Kukuk said about the residents. ?I?m grateful to work with them.? More than 165 attended the event and raised $872 before subtracting costs. Kukuk said food items contributed by all staff of St. Luke helped keep expenses down.
