Peabody Farmers Market will begin on Monday, June 7. Vendors will have a selection of home-baked goods and early season produce. Booths will set up on the west side of Walnut Street in historic downtown Peabody from 4:30-6:30 p.m. each Monday through September 6.

“What I enjoy is seeing the people that come through every week and being able to provide homemade products to the community. I enjoy baking for people who enjoy eating. It also provides an activity that my teenage daughter and I can do together, and she can also develop skills and responsibility in making and selling a product,” said Thiessen.
In addition to baked goods, shoppers can anticipate early season produce such as peas, potatoes, onions, and beets.
Grower Marti Nellans has been testing her produce.
“We tried the first new potatoes roasted with fresh onions. They were so good,” said Nellans.
Peabody Fall Festival Committee will be serving meals during June market days. Menus for the Mondays in June will be Sharon’s taco salads, Pops Diner sloppy joes, Wings & Tails pulled pork, and Peabody Sausage House sausage and kraut. Funds raised will support the fourth annual Peabody Fall Festival set for Oct. 2.
Throughout the summer, each week of Farmers Market will feature a meal.
