Hali Krause and Hannah Bartel, fifth-graders at Hillsboro Elementary School, took advantage of some water-line maintenance by the city of Hillsboro to enjoy a cool shower on an otherwise warm Friday afternoon. The two girls made their splash at the corner of Kennedy and C streets. A few adult residents took advantage of the opportunity to get a free car wash. The warm temperatures seemed more like mid-summer than the waning days of the season.
