Impact Fund grants to be issued Friday

The second round of annual grants totaling $6,000 from the Hillsboro Area Impact Fund will be awarded Friday.

Later that evening, a public announcement will be made during the Hillsboro High School basketball games at Robert C. Brown Gymnasium.

The Impact Fund is an endow?ment fund of the Hills?boro Community Foundation and is dedicated to projects in the greater Hillsboro area.

The Impact Fund selects grant award winners annually from among a pool of applicants.

The first grants were awarded last February to six recipients: Marion County Emergency Medical Services ($1,000); Hillsboro Public Library ($1,000); Marion County Parents As Teachers ($1,000); Hillsboro Elementary After-School Pro?gram ($1,000); Hillsboro High School Chess Guild ($500).

Hillsboro Area Impact Fund is an open endowment and tax deductible contributions can be made at any time. Checks should be made payable to Hillsboro Community Foundation and mailed to P.O. Box 273, Hillsboro, KS 67063.
