Goessel HS again feted by U.S. News

For the second year in a row, Goessel Junior/Senior High School has been selected by U.S. News & World Report as a bronze medalist in its ?America?s Best High Schools? study.

The magazine collected data from more than 18,000 high schools?large and small, rural and urban?across the nation, reviewing multiple indicators of success.

In Kansas, two high schools were selected for silver medals and 34 high schools for bronze medals. Goessel was the only high school in Marion County to be selected.

?This is a wonderful accolade for the Junior/Senior High staff and our entire K-12 learning community, from the staff and our students who work to really create a very unique culture and climate here at Goessel, and to our board, parents and community,? Superinten?dent John Fast said.

?Our staff truly goes the second mile to help all students succeed and our students give their best effort.?
