Fall classes began Monday night

Maggie Cornish, left, a junior from Roeland Park, and Tiffany Bulk, a sophomore from Leonardville, joined fellow classmates to do community service work Monday as part of their Bible, Community and Culture class.

Brianne Greene (left) of Denver, Colo., and a resident assistant at Tabor College, helped Leah Kopper of Garden City rearrange some furniture in their 10-person townhouse at Loewen Hall Wednesday. Kopper is a senior and a cross country runner.

Tabor College students returned to campus in full force this weekend in preparation for the new fall semester. Students enrolled in the class spent two hours at the Hillsboro park removing brick sidewalks. City Administrator Larry Paine said that whatever the students didn?t finish would need to be done using city crews or another group that might volunteer. Every student at Tabor is required to take the class, including those transferring in. Athletes moved in early to begin fall practices and all other students arrived last weekend.
