City of Hillsboro discusses bevy of road projects throughout town

The City of Hillsboro met on Tuesday where they discussed the various road projects going on around town. The road is done on West Grand except for the asphalt being laid. This was scheduled to happen Thursday, Sept 5 and Friday, Sept 6 and then that project will be completed. The council voted to pay the invoice for that work for milling and concrete patching which came to $105,902.95.

The Wilson Street project continues but is making great progress. The invoice for that was voted on and the council approved payment for demo and curb and gutter work for the amount of $186,635.47.

Both projects were done by Vogts-Parga.

The council learned that the East Grand construction project is also almost done with only a small stretch still needing to have brick laid. They authorized payment to Hett Construction for $131,290.45. The goal is to have the work done before the Arts and Crafts Fair on Sept 21.

An invoice for legal services relating to the hospital bankruptcy for the amount of $12,588.42 was approved to be paid to Triplett Woolf Garretson, LLC.
