Athletes in action

About 15 members of H-Club, the Hillsboro High School organization for athletic letter-winners, worked from about 4:15 last Thursday afternoon until darkness set in around 6:15 p.m. to clean leaves from the yards or residents as a service project. The club was looking to help people who were not able to complete the task themselves. Adviser Scott O?Hare said the club completed four of the seven yards it had scheduled and hauled 30 to 40 pickup loads of leaves to the compost pile. Members hope to take care of the remaining three yards this Saturday, as time and weather allow, he added.
