Trojans succumb in regional title game to a stingy Conway Springs defense
Hillsboro High running back Jacob Yoder slips a tackle for a few extra yards during the Class 3A regional title game against Conway Springs at Reimer Field. Yoder and his teammates didn?t get many opportunities on the ground as the powerful Cardinals held the Trojans to a mere 18 yards on 22 carries. Even so, the Trojans nearly pulled out the victory, thanks in part to the clutch performance of sophomore Jacob Fish, who stepped in capably for Hillsboro?s standout senior quarterback, Spencer Brown, who was injured in Tuesday?s bi-district victory over Sedgwick.
