Representatives from the groups that sponsored the 2011 Marion County Toy Run in November distributed checks and toys to charitable organization from four communities Saturday morning at Hillsboro State Bank. The checks, totaling nearly $11,034, will be used to help make Christmas better for families facing economic challenges. The money was divided roughly according to the enrollment of the five school districts within the county. Picture above are: (from left) Ken Johnson of the Sons of the American Legion; Mike

Toy Run organizers said they collected fewer toys than past years; 69 motorcycles and 16 classic cars participated in the run itself.
