Tabor College running back Drevion Cooper adds to his yardage total Saturday during the Bluejays’ 65-21 win over Bethany College in the final game of 2017. Cooper rolled up a school-record 324 yards on 23 carries, giving him 1,218 yards for the season. Tabor finished as KCAC co-champions with an 8-1 record, but the Sterling Warriors were awarded the sole KCAC invitation to the NAIA playoffs because Tabor’s only conference loss was to Sterling earlier in the season. Cooper was named the KCAC’s “Offensive Player of the Week” for his exploits. For more about the Bethany game and Tabor’s volleyball team’s bid to the NAIA national tournament, see Page 7.
