Smokin’ Festival hits Hillsboro

This Saturday the Prairie Smokin’ Festival will be from 1:30-8 p.m. in Hillsboro. There will be all types of activities for Marion County residents to enjoy.

The event starts at 1:30 p.m. with activities at the Museum Complex (Museum Tours, Kids Activities, Antique Cars & Tractors, Rope Making).

The Igloo will be open and located next to the Museum Visitor Center from 1:30-4 p.m. It will be their opening day, and then they will be moving back to their normal spot on D St.

The Hillsboro Animal Clinic will be at the Museum Complex to do a vaccination clinic.

Countryside Feed will have a booth for their Drive to Feed Kids fundraiser. They will be raffling off a grill and have information about Drive to Feed Kids for kids in Marion County.

A BBQ meal will start at 5:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Meal tickets cost $10 and can be purchased ahead of time at city hall or on Facebook/eventbrite.

Starting around 6 p.m., Weston Price and Amber Golermann will be playing music at the Fairground Pavilion.
