As Marion?s legendary photographer Les Broadstreet autographs copies at the table, Melinda Schroeder (right) of Marion receives her copy of ?Marion Memories, Vol. 2? from Free Press staff member Katy Magathan during a public unveiling Thursday in the new lobby of St. Luke Hospital. Broadstreet, well into his 90s, wrote the forward for the book, which includes nearly 200 contributed photos from the city?s past. The book was produced by the Free Press as a celebration of Marion?s 150th birthday and a companion to the first ?Marion Memories? published in 2007. Participating in the project as sponsors and significant contributors of photos are St. Luke Hospital & Foundation, Marion Historical Museum, Marion City Library and Hannaford Abstract & Title Co.
