Leadership Marion County class meets in Peabody

Members of the 2010 Leadership Marion County class met Thursday at The Hub in Peabody. This year?s class members include (from left) David Scott, administrator, Legacy Park in Peabody; Tish Keesling, city clerk, Lost Springs; Angie Schwerdtfeger, Tri-County Telephone, and Connie Omstead, retired from Marion County Special Education Cooperative. The leadership program offers participants a chance to see how local, county and state governments work, along with exposure to the communities arpund the county. Prior to attending class in Peabody, the group was in Florence at Morning Star Ranch and Tampa?s Community Center. The next class is April 1 in Hillsboro with members taking a tour of western Marion County businesses.
