Kjellin to step down as Marion city administrator

Doug KjellinMarion City Administra?tor Doug Kjellin submitted a letter of resignation to the city council Sept. 11, stating his last day on the job would be Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Kjellin stated his reason for leaving was to pursue private business opportunities.

The council accepted Kjellin?s resignation at its regular meeting Sept. 16, and appointed Roger Holter, the city?s economic development director to be the interim administrator.

Kjellin was city administrator for almost three years.
