Kids turn out for Kiwanis hunt

More than 200 children braved cool temperatures Saturday morning for the annual Hillsboro Kiwanis Club Easter Egg Hunt at Memorial Park. The event is open to children age 10 and under. Roger Fleming, a Kiwanis Club member, said the group filled 240 baskets

in less than one hour last Thursday evening. Following the egg hunt, children made their way to the Scout House to pick up more treats. Organizers also asked participating families to thank the local businesses who made the baskets possible. Before and after the egg hunt, the Easter Bunny was available for pictures.
