It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Hillsboro city electrical crews were busy Monday putting up the last of the Christmas street decorations for the upcoming holiday season at the corner of Grand Avenue and Washington Street. In the foreground is Jason Plett, using one bucket truck to hook up a lighted Christmas wreath while fellow crew member Randy Jantz works across the street using a second bucket truck. Christmas community festivities kick off Thursday, Dec. 1, with the second annual “A Down-Home Christmas Concert” featuring local vocalist David Vogel and Hillsboro High School’s Spirit-N-Celebration. Tickets for the concert, which will begin at 7 p.m. in the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, are available at the Chamber of Commerce office for $12 each or at the door. Proceeds will go toward the USD 410 Music Department and the Hillsboro Public Library.
