A new county jail, concern about the tax exemption for the Trans?Canada Keystone Pipeline and the cost of maintaining roads could be among the issues discussed at a town hall meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, in the Marion City Hall basement, 208 E. Sante Fe.

Dan Holub, Marion County commissioner, has held a town hall meeting for the past four years as a way to give constituents a chance to ask questions.

?Whatever is on someone?s mind, they can ask about,? he said.

Although Holub?s district serves residents in Marion, Pilsen, Tampa, Lincolnville, Lost Springs and Ramona, the meeting is open to anyone in the county.

?We have a team of 12 horses (towns in Marion County) and sometimes they are all going in different directions,? Holub said.

The town meeting is one way to open up the lines of communication and get everyone working toward a common goal, he said.
