Hillsboro Chamber’s scavenger hunt contest deadline is 4 p.m. Jan. 4

Hillsboro Chamber of Com­merce is sponsoring a scavenger hunt of the winning displays for the city’s annual Christmas lights contest.

The winner will receive $100 in Hillsboro Chamber Bucks.

This year marked a record 52 entries with 14 winners at the following addresses: 214 Eisenhower, 315 Eisenhower, 202 S. Wilson, 313 S. Wilson, 301 N. Adams, 310 S. Adams, 414 S. Adams, 514 S. Lin­coln, 308 N. Main, 401 S. Main. 410 S. Main, 204 S. Date, 517 W. Third and 706 W. Grand.

The scavenger hunt involves submitting the winning addresses as the answers to this list of questions by Jan. 4.

1.Where is the house with the bows and garland?

2.Where is the house with the dripping icicles?

3.Where is the house that has a tribute to police?

4.Where is the house with Santa in camouflage?

5.Where is the house with the candy cane effect roof?

6.Where is the herd of 10-plus reindeer?

7.What house has the snow globe?

8.What house has a white noel?

9.What house has Rudolf’s nose on the corners?

10.What house has a flashing elm tree on the corner?

For those who want to participate, here are the rules for the Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt:

• Answers must be in the form of an address with numbers and a street name. If the house number is incorrect, but the street is correct, that will count as a correct answer. (Be sure to include North, South, East and West in the street name.)

• Entries are due to the Cham­ber office by 4 p.m. Jan. 4.

• Scavenger Hunt submissions with the correct answer will be placed in a drawing. 

• The winner of the drawing will receive $100 in Hillsboro Chamber Bucks.
