Extending the boundaries of cooking

Saroj Arab demonstrates for members of the Hillsboro Middle School international cooking club the India way of using a spoon to scrape ginger shreds from the root in preparation for cooking?. Arab was invited by the club?s faculty leader, Sue Buchholz, to teach the children to prepare two native dishes, chol? and roti, during club time on Friday. International cooking, the club of choice for 13 students, is one of 11 clubs offered twice a month to HMS students this semester, according to principal Greg Brown.
