Early voting for city elections begins April 5

N0810P35006CResidents of Burns, Hillsboro and Marion who wish to vote early for the upcoming city general election Tuesday, April 5, may now do so at the Marion County Clerk?s Office.

Early, in-person voting is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will continue through Monday, April 4, at noon.

The county clerk?s office is located on the main floor of the county courthouse, 200 S. Third St., Marion.

Voters also have the option to apply for an advance ballot by mail. Applications are available at marioncoks.net or by contacting the county clerk?s office.

Once the signed application is received in the county clerk?s office, a ballot will be mailed to the individual. Voted ballots must be back in the county clerk?s office by 7 p.m. April 5. Late ballots cannot be accepted.
