Dozens come together to clean up reservoir

On Saturday morning, several dozen people showed up at the reservoir to give their time and energy to cleaning up.

For some, this was their first year while others had been participating in the annual clean up for years.

Brody Schroeder and his girlfriend Emmalyn Gaddert came to help. They cleaned up trash in Durham Cove.

“I have basically been doing this my whole life. My mom has been doing this since it started. I look forward to helping every year,” said Schroeder.

“I started dating Brody last year. When he told me about it, and I knew I wanted to do it, too. We are definite recyclers and environmentalists,” said Gaddert.

Volunteers worked for several hours and made a big difference.
