– In the June 19 issue of the Hillsboro Free Press, an error was made in the Marion County Planning Commission/Board of Zoning Appeals article regarding a quote from Brian Stuckey of Goessel. He inquired about the archeological sites in the footprint and if anyone in the Wind Expedition group had spoken with the Kansas Historical Society about that area. Stuckey was also quoted in part as saying: “Thank God for wind turbines.” However, this was incorrect. Darla Spencer, of Florence, was the person who made that statement.
– In the June 12 issue of the Hillsboro Free Press article regarding candidate filings for the November general election, one of the newly-formed Marion County Commission districts was not included. To clarify, Jonah Gehring is the only candidate who filed for the Commission District 5 position.
