The Hungrazilican Chili entry claimed the $100 first prize at the ninth annual Marion County Park & Lake Chili Cook-off. The combined names of Hungary, Brazil and America were how the group named itself. Davis said the chili was ?just normal and it?s good.? Steve Hudson, lake superintendent, said more people attended this year?s event. ?We sold 335 tasting kits, up from 250 a year ago.? Almost $2,000 was raised from the event, which also included a car show. Other prize winners were Happy Camp Cloven Hoof chili, awarded second place and $50; and Jim Bratt with Broke Back Trailer chili in third place with $35. This year?s competitors trophy went to Miss Babette Jones and her ?mmm…ole hot red chili.: ?We had 18 chili contestants and one potato soup contestant,? Hudson said. ?The corn hole tournament raised more than $800, but no results were available.?
