Residents and friends of Marion used the occasion of the 100th annual Old Settlers Day to celebrate the city?s and state?s 150th birthday Saturday. A large crowd gathered in perfect weather along Main Street to watch about 75 entries pass by. Included were floats

carrying MHS alumni from 13 classes. Every fifth year was represented, from 1946 to 2006. Floats competed for prizes in one of three categories: Open, Church and School.
