Third District County Commissioner Randy Dallke, who has served in the position for five terms, lost to Clark Dirks in Tuesday’s Republican Primary Election. Dirks won 184-152 and will run against Democrat Randy Eitzen in November’s election.
For the Second District county commission position, Mike Beneke defeated Dianne Novak, 247-128. He will run against Independent incumbent Dave Mueller in November.
Marion County Clerk Ashley Herpich received 1,561 votes and Marion County Treasurer Tina L. Groening received 1,675 votes.
For the Register of Deeds position, Shelby Schroeder defeated Hannah Branson, 927-747.
Incumbent Jeff Soyez beat former Peabody Police Chief Travis Wilson for sheriff, 1,315-411.
These are the preliminary results. Final results, including provisionals and write-ins, will be determined at the canvass on Friday, Aug. 16.
