County groups gather for annual Toy Run

Members of the Marion County Food Bank, Families and Communities Together (FACT), Marion Community Christmas, Hillsboro Ministerial Alliance, Peabody Association of Churches, Goessel Ministerial Alliance and Hillsboro Sons of American Legion gather to accept funds from the 28th Annual Marion County Toy Run which was on Sunday, Nov. 6. The funds and toys received at the toy run are distributed to county organizations to benefit needy children of Marion County.

This year community Christmas trees, ministerial organizations, Marion County Food Bank and Families and Communities Together (FACT) are receiving toys and checks totaling over $13,500. In the 28 years of the Toy Run, $257,000 and hundreds of toys have been given to many different organizations to help area children.

The sponsors of the Toy Run, Hillsboro Sons of American Legion, ABATE District 9 of Kansas and Route 56 Classic Cruisers as well as the children of Marion County would like to thank all of the contributors and donors for their generous gifts, donations and continued support this time of year.
