All-woman band to perform in Peabody

The Sunflower Theatre is excited to kick off its season of events at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Peabody.

The Weda Skirts (formerly The Skirts) are a five-piece original acoustic roots band that is hot off of being one of the main attractions at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival. This all-woman band hales from Chase County with original music by Elexa Dawson at the core of their extensive repertoire. The Weda Skirts skillfully craft music that speaks from and to the heart.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the door or online at the Sunflower Theatre Facebook page or at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/415078840987.

All ticket proceeds are donations to the Sunflower Theatre Foundation, Inc. for restoration of the theatre.
