Tibbetts and Unruh exchange vows

Jessica Lauren Tibbetts and Zachary Andres Unruh were married May 31 in Victoria, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Tibbetts of Victoria.

The groom is the son of Paul and Christine Unruh of Hesston. Grandparents of the groom are Eva Mae Andres and the late Harold Andres, and Belva Unruh and the late Verney Unruh.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Russell. Bridesmaids were Jessica Eisenberg and Catherine Van Der Kar, friends of the bride. Best man was Nicholas Unruh. Groomsmen were Landon Unruh and Jamison Unruh, brothers of the groom.

A dinner and dance reception was held at the Oak Room in Victoria. After a wedding trip to Kiawah Island, S.C., the couple is at home in Houston, Texas.

The bride graduated from Victoria High School and Trinity University and is a student at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

The groom graduated from Hillsboro High School and Bethel College and also is a student at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Makovec, Forrester wed in September

Jennifer Sue Makovec and Paul Edward Forrester, both of Salina, were married Sept. 6 in Council Grove.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Carol Makovec of Ramona. The groom is the son of Jim and Miriam Strasen of Great Bend.

Maid of honor was Robyn Heitfield, sister of the bride. The best man was Matt Forrester, brother of the groom.

The wedding was held at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Salina.

The bride graduated from Centre High School and Emporia State University. She currently is working as a court services officer for the 28th Judicial District.

The groom was a graduate of Russell High School and Kansas State University.

He is a lieutenant with the Salina Police Department.

The couple honeymooned in San Diego, Calif. Following the wedding and honeymoon, the couple reside in Salina.
