Lindsay Wiebe and Brian Lightner, both of Peabody, were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Zion Mennonite Church, 525 N. Main St., Elbing, in a double-ring ceremony, with Ryan Mackey, cousin of the groom, officiating.

The groom’s parents are Gene and Carol Lightner of Inman. His grandfather, Abe Thiessen of Inman, was also present.

The bride’s parents are Randall and Raeanne Wiebe of Peabody. Her grandparents are Herbert and Delilah Wiebe of Elbing and Evelyn Buller of North Newton.

The church was decorated with yellow and white daisy mums and wheat.

The vocalist was Staci Horton, cousin of the groom, and a quartet to include Derek Klingenberg, Grant Klingenberg, Wesley Brewer and Joshua Andes, all friends of the couple.

The matron of honor was Rebecca Ensz of Potwin, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Melanie Haspels of Halstead and Jodi Lightner of Billings, Mont., both sisters of the groom, and Bonnie Brewer of Elbing, friend of the couple.

Grace Hein of Hillsboro, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

The best man was Jarold Richardson of Owasso, Okla., friend of the couple.

Groomsmen were Tracy Wehrman of Derby, friend of the groom; Chuck Haspels of Halstead, brother-in-law of the groom, and Ryan Wiebe of Elizabethtown, N.Y., brother of the bride.

The ringbearer was Johnathan Haspels of Halstead, nephew of the groom.

Ushers were Derek Klingenberg, Grant Klingenberg, Brewer and Andres, all friends of the couple.

A reception was at Grace Hill Mennonite Church following the ceremony.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Peabody High School and completed a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 2009 and master’s degree in 2011.

She is employed as a speech-language pathologist for the Marion County Special Education Cooperative, Marion.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Inman High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Tabor College in 2006 and a master’s degree in 2011 from Fort Hays State University.

He is employed as a mathematics teacher and coach at Peabody-Burns High School, Peabody.

The couple honeymooned in Yellowstone National Park.

Following the honeymoon, they are at home in rural Peabody.
