Mayfield, Unruh wed in McPherson

Lauryn Nicole Mayfield and Corey Michael Unruh were united in marriage Jan. 15 at the First Christian Church in McPherson with Derek Mayfield, brother of the bride, officiating.

Parents of the couple are Dale and Lisa Mayfield of Hillsboro and Rick and Lori Unruh of McPherson. Grandparents of the couple are Karon Hess of Marion, and Pat Brauer and Bob and Donna Unruh, all of McPherson.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a one-piece, strapless, slim A-line diamond white/pewter accent Maggie Sottero Roma gown with corset closure, flaunting a vivid sparkle with heavily beaded embroidery enriching the bodice and accentuating the sweeping bustles of the Rhapsody Taffeta skirt.

The matron of honor was Taryn Mayfield, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Allison Lennox and Brittany Shantz, friends of the bride, and Tessa Mayfield, sister-in-law of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Kelli and Erika Hess, cousins of the bride.

The best man was Brent Unruh, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Cody Bogart, Luke Green and Martin Koehn, friends of the groom. Junior groomsman was Jake Hess, cousin of the bride.

Flower girls were Shelby and Camryn Regier, friends of the couple. Ring bearer was Brock Burgess, friend of the groom.

Candlelighters were Whitney Sechler, friend of the bride, and Kim Unruh, sister-in-law of the groom.

Ushers were Mark Vinduska, cousin of the bride, Bryan and Jerry Hess, uncles of the bride, Bil Brauer, cousin of the groom, and Adam Ortega, friend of the groom.

Guest book attendants were Ashley Stout, friend of the bride, and Lindsay Holmes, friend of the groom. Program attendants were Macy Hess, cousin of the bride, and Sydney Waner, friend of the bride. Gift attendants were Michelle Vinduska and Jenevieve Corona, cousins of the bride. Personal attendant was Gina Bergin, friend of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance was held at the Regency Ballroom in McPherson.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom?s parents, was Friday, Jan. 14 at The Upper Room in McPherson.

The bride is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Eric Fisher Academy, Wichita. She is employed at Captivate Salon in McPherson.

The bridegroom is a graduate of McPherson High School and is employed as a firefighter/EMT with the McPherson Fire Depart?ment.

The couple went to Jamaica for the honeymoon and reside in McPherson.
