Neufeld, Enns wed July 30 in Colorado
Corina Joy Neufeld of Denver, Colo., and Darren James Enns of Hillsboro were married at 4:30 p.m. July 30 at Garden Park Mennonite Brethren Church in Denver.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Steve Schroeder, a friend of the couple.
The bride?s parents are Phil and Joyce Neufeld of Denver.
Grandparents of the bride are Wilhelmina Klaassen and the late John Klaassen of Denver and Orville and Ida Neufeld of Monument, Colo.
The groom?s parents are Jim and Brenda Enns of Hillsboro. Grandparents of the groom are Ronald and Dora Unruh of Durham and Lauren and Luetta Enns of Hillsboro.
The church sanctuary was decorated with a wall of small candles, pew bows and floral decorations created by the bride, her mother and Grandmother Klaassen.
Scripture readers were Andy and Bryan Neufeld, brothers of the bride, and David and Lisa Enns, brother and sister of the groom.
Musicians included Meghann Rogers of Sublette on piano; Mary Goering of Newton, violin; Mitch Friesen of Wichita, drums; Ben Heyen of Hillsboro on keyboards and Tyler Suderman of Wichita on guitar. All are friends of both the bride and groom. The bride?s father played bass guitar.
Wedding colors of eggplant, silver and spring green were used in the decorations throughout the wedding and the reception.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father.
The processional music was arranged and choreographed by the groom.
The bride wore an ivory Anjolique taffeta with rhinestones and sequins embellished across the bodice and sweetheart strapless neckline, with beading also on the left hip.
The dress had a modified A-line, asymmetrical drop waist, asymmetrical pleating ending in a chapel-length train, accented with gray and purple sequin Converse tennis shoes.
The bride?s bouquet of plum and white calla lilies, white roses and plum and white hydrangeas was created by the bride and her mother.
Her maid of honor was Naomi Toews of McPherson, friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Stephanie Funk of Kansas City, Julie Wiens of Fresno, Calif., and Kayla Vix of Wichita, all friends of the bride.
Guest book attendants were Maggie Cornish of Kansas City, Maria Loewen and Lauren Just, both of Hillsboro, and Lisa Yoder of Haven, friends of the bride and groom.
The best man was Michael Suderman of Wichita, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen were David Enns, Whitewater, brother of the groom, and Eric Funk, Kansas City, and Graham Faul, North Dakota, both friends of the groom.
Ushers were Chuck Neufeld of Greenwood, N.C., and Rolland Winter of Denver, uncles of the bride, and Mark Unruh of Durham and Warren Unruh of Tampa, uncles of the groom.
A reception, dinner and dance was held at Garden Park Community Center immediately following the ceremony.
Reception decorations featured a ceiling of tulle and lights and table decorations of Kansas wheat with Colorado columbine flowers.
A Kansas reception was hosted by the groom?s family Aug. 28 at Trinity Church Fellowship Hall in Hillsboro.
Jim and Debbie Stelter of Oklahoma City, Okla., friends of the bride, hosted the reception.
The rehearsal dinner was at 6 p.m. July 29 in the Garden Park Community Center and was hosted by the groom?s parents. The meal featured smoked pork cooked by the groom?s brother.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Denver, and a 2011 graduate of Tabor College in Hillsboro.
After completing her student teaching in secondary science in December 2011, she is employed at Tabor College.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Hillsboro High School and 2011 graduate of Tabor College.
After completing his student teaching in vocal music in December 2011, he is employed as a band instructor at USD 408-Marion.
The couple honeymooned in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and reside in Hesston.
