Weddings (July 20, 2011)

Robin Bartel of Hillsboro and Zachary Ebmeir of Hutchinson were married at 4 p.m. June 26 at First Mennonite Church in Hutchinson.

Pastor Jeff Prothro officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Roger and Fern Bartel of Hills?boro, and Charles and Jan Ebmeier of Hutchinson.

The bride wore a white strapless gown, multi-layered with translucent flowerets and a long train. She carried a bouquet made by her mother.

Matron of honor was Nicole Bartel, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicolee Ebmeier, sister of the groom, and Mandy Schrag, friend of the bride.

Candlelighters were mothers Fern Bartel and Jan Ebmeier. Flower children were Jeremey, Jenna, Joey and Jake Keil, and Jade, Alexis and Elizabeth Kershaw.

Best man was Christopher Flynn, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Christopher Massingale and David Stockemer, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Seth, Hannah and Amanda Bartel.

The reception was held at 6 p.m. at the State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.

Kurt and Kerri Barker, friends of the groom?s family, served as reception host and hostess. Trinity United Methodist Church adult Sunday school class served as assistants and helpers.

The bride, who graduated from Goessel High School, will complete her degree Aug. 15 from Hutchinson Community College. She works as a custodian for USD 308.

The groom graduated from Buhler High School and Hutchinson Community College. He works on maintenance at Mennonite Manor in South Hutchison.

The couple resides in Hutchinson.
