Tanner, Hein wed June 9 in Hillsboro


Allison Paige Tanner and Justin Dean Hein, both of Newton, were married at 2 p.m. June 9 at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.

The double-ring ceremony was officiated by pastor Steve Schroeder.

The bride?s parents are William and Lisa Tanner of Newton.

Parents of the groom are Dean and Beth Hein of Hillsboro. His grandparents are Edward and Margaret Hein of Hillsboro and the late Earl and MaryAnn Madsen of Peabody.

The sanctuary was decorated with white lights, white tulle, white pew bows and bouquets of stargazer lilies, and the wedding colors were fuchsia and yellow.

The bride wore a flare mermaid couture satin gown with sweetheart strapless neckline, tiffany train, Robison-Anton platinum full embroidery and Swarovski crystal beading. The veil had matching beading.

Her bouquet was a hand-tied, classic clutch bouquet of stargazer lilies, yellow callas and pink statice with ivy trailers.

The matron of honor was Mandy Burton, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rebeckah Wicker and Neisha Vetter, friends of the bride.

The wedding coordinator was Michele O?Neal, aunt of the groom.

Candlelighters were Seth Mader, nephew of the groom, and assisted by Christy Hein, sister of the groom.

Tamara Hinerman provided piano music.

Flower girls were Ada Burton, niece of the bride, and Sage Mader, niece of the groom.

Best man was Michael Bookless, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Fisher and Travis Schafer, friends of the groom.

Ringerbearers were Ian Burton, nephew of the bride, and Sean Mader, nephew of the groom.

Ushers were Jared Britton, Mike Mader, Mike Morales and Brian Jaworsky.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the activity center of the church, which was decorated in a garden theme. Servers were Jan Britton, Staci Morales, Karen Jaworsky, Amanda Jaworsky and Lucinda Britton, and John and Denise Cotter served as host and hostess.

The bride, a 2010 graduate of Hesston High School, attends Kansas State University and will graduate in 2014. She is a supervisor at the food court on the K-State campus.

The groom graduated from Hillsboro High School and Newton Area VoTech training in 2004. He works for Schultz Construction in Manhattan.

The rehearsal dinner, provided by the groom?s family, was barbecue catered by Woodies Smokehouse of McPherson and was held in the Fireside Room at the church. Following the rehearsal, desserts made by the groom?s mother and the bride were served.

The couple traveled to Cancun, Mexico, for their honeymoon. They reside at 1921 Morning Glory, Manhattan, KS 66502.
