Alyssa Luna and Denton Holt, both of Cedar Vale, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Oct. 5 on the beach at Isla Grand Beach Resort, South Padre Island, Texas.

The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Bill Waddell of the Island Baptist Church.

The bride?s parents are George and Dawn Luna of Antelope. The groom?s parents are Priscilla and Clay Melton and Doug and Kim Holt, all of Cedar Vale.

The bride?s dress was a strapless sheath ivory floor-length corset back gown with beaded front sash and sweep train.

The matron of honor was Megan Stuchlik, sister of the bride.

Her bridesmaid was Stephanie Luna, sister-in-law of the bride.

The best man was Marc Champlin, friend of the groom. His groomsman was Ellis McClure, friend of the groom.

The reception was a fresh seafood buffet and music at Louie?s Backyard Bayside Dining and Cocktails, which followed the wedding ceremony.

The bride is a Centre High School graduate and attended Wichita State University and Emporia State University.

She is self-employed as a daycare provider.

The groom is a Cedar Vale High School graduate. He attended Independence Community College and Pittsburgh State University. He is foreman at Fulsom Brothers Inc.

The couple took a road trip to San Antonio, New Orleans, Nashville and Springfield for their honeymoon.

The rehearsal dinner was at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Blackbeard?s Restaurant, South Padre Island, featuring the fresh catch from the wedding party?s deep sea fishing expedition earlier that day.

They are at home in Cedar Vale.
