Prieb, Duerksen say vows April 4

Cheryl Lynn Prieb and Ross Michael Duerksen were united in marriage April 4 at Garden Community Church in Moundridge with pastor Bruce Porter officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Glen and Sharon Prieb of Lehigh. The groom is the son of Gary and Janet Duerksen, also of Lehigh.

Grandparents are Magdalene Schauf of Great Bend, Edna Prieb of Lehigh and Erma Pankratz of Goessel.

Matrons of honor were Melanie Thiessen of Hillsboro and April McKim of Red Bluff, Calif., friends of the bride. Bridesmads were Staci Frick of Newton and Elise Matz of Wichita, friends of the bride.

Flower girls were Rachael Prieb of Canton, cousin of the bride, and Talby Duerksen of Newton, cousin of the groom. Candlelighters were Amanda Hagen and Jessica Funk, both of Hillsboro, friends of the bride.

Best man was Chad Duerksen of Goddard, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Layne Frick of Newton, Ronn Coates of McPherson and Cody Liebelt of Paola, friends of the groom.

Ringbearers were Keaton Littrell and Andrew Prieb of Canton, cousins of the bride. Ushers were Dustin Jost of Hillsboro, Jesse Janzen of Wichita and David Sattler of Norton, friends of the groom.

Organist was Karen Wiens of Hillsboro, and vocalists were John and Ellen Buerger of Hesston. Guest book attendents were Amy Duerksen of Wichita, sister of the groom, and Mark Prieb of Manhattan, brother of the bride.

The bride wore an ivory all-over beaded trumpet-style dress with an illusion halter neckline and matching ivory sash. She carried a bouquet of purple agapanthus, freesia, lisianthus and ivory hydrangeas. The bridesmaids wore Victorian lilac satin dresses with ivory bouquets similar to the bride?s.

A reception followed in the church fellowship hall with a dance afterward at Fox Ridge Country Club in Newton.

The bride is employed at First Bank of Newton as a customer service representative. The groom is employed as a design engineer for AGCO in Hesston. After a honeymoon trip to Mexico, the couple resides in Hesston.
