Hearn and Vogel united in marriage

Ashley Marie Hearn of Derby and Alan Randal Vogel of Marion were married Nov. 8.

The wedding took place at the First Baptist Church in El Dorado with pastor Wade Graber officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John and Cindy Hearn of El Dorado and the groom’s parents are Randy and Carol Vogel of Marion.

Grandparents of the couple are Alberta Harms of El Dorado and the late Vernon Harms; Ed and Willie Hearn of Great Bend; Dwain and Phyliss Gill of Sylvia and the late James and Maxine Vogel.

The matron of honor was Erin Frost, friend of the bride. The bride’s attendants were Heather Gartrell, Jennifer Gardner and Katie Hammersmith, friends of the bride.

The best man was Eric Vogel, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Daniel Mushrush, Shiloh Dutton and Michael Liebe, friends of the groom.

Candle lighters were Alissa Vogel, sister of the groom, and Samantha Butler, friend of the bride.

Ushers were Evan Hearn, brother of the bride, Matt Rhodes, Andy Holt and Brian Bina, friends of the groom.

Christine Albrecht was the pianist and Lisa Gottschalk and Erin Frost were vocalists, all are friends of the bride.

Guest book attendant was Amy Smith and program attendants were Leann Spinden and Amy St. Clair, friends of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the El Dorado Civic Center.

Reception attendants were Brandy Avery, Melissa Harms, Brie Corfman, Lachelle Spencer, Lindsey Schick and Kasey Schick, cousins of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Double D’s in El Dorado.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Circle High School and a 2007 graduate of Kansas State University in Manhattan with a degree in social work. She is employed as a foster care case manager at Youthville in Wichita.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Marion High School and a 2007 graduate of Kansas State University with degrees in ag business and agronomy. He is employed as an agronomist at Ag Service in Whitewater.

The couple honeymooned in Oregon and they now reside in Newton.
