Cupps, Becker exchane vows Oct. 21

Laura Christine Cupps and Todd Brandon Becker were married Oct. 21, 2006, at Marion Christian Church with Harvey Friez and Carl Helm officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Martin and Anita Hooper of Marion. The groom is the son of Kent and Ginger Becker of Durham.

The bride wore a white matte satin gown featuring a basque waistline, sweetheart neckline and long sleeves. The full, shirred skirt flowed into a cathedral-length train, with hand beading embellishing the embroidered lace accenting the entire gown. She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies, red and white roses and stephanotis cascading with pearls and ribbon.

Matron of honor was Jaclyn Coleman, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Michelle Bosworth, friend of the bride, Kristen Hooper, cousin of the bride, and Shannon Foster, cousin of the groom.

Bride?s assistants were Debbie Hooper and Jan Peter.

Best man was Tony Becker, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Patrick Cupps, brother of the bride, and Matthew Friez and Tom Watson, friends of the groom.

Ringbearer was Christian Cupps, son of the bride. Flower girls were Chantelle Cupps, niece of the bride, and Kylea Becker, niece of the groom.

Ushers were William Keith, friend of the couple, William Hooper, uncle of the bride, and Brayden Foster and Tyler Foster, cousins of the groom.

Candlelighter was Annette Becker, sister-in-law of the groom. Vocalist was Mike Connell.

A reception was held following the ceremony in the church basement. Reception assistants were Pat Enos, Diane Regier and Melissa Lawrence.

A rehearsal dinner hosted by Roland and Melissa Bartel was held Oct. 20 at the Boy Scout House in Hillsboro.

The bride graduated from Marion High School in 1995 and attended Butler County Community College. She is employed as a paraeducator at Marion Elementary School.

The groom graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1995 and attended Butler County Community College, Pratt Community College and Ravencrest Bible College. He is employed in shipping and receiving at Excel Industries in Hesston.

Following a honeymoon to Estes Park, Colo., the couple resides in Marion.
