Bonnie Bauerle and Wesley Brewer were united in marriage at 11:30 a.m. July 11 at the Bern United Methodist Church in Bern with pastor of the bride, Weldon Gullickson and Bruce Bradshaw, pastor of the groom, both officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Marcia Bauerle of Sabetha and the groom is the son of Doug and Margaret Brewer of Newton
The bride?s grandparents are Harold and Mary Bauerle of Sabetha and Illola Miller and the late Gale Miller of Sabetha.
The groom?s grandparents are Loyd Brewer and the late Louella Brewer of Peabody and Allan Steffy and the late Mildred Steffy of Manheim, Pa.
Megan Brooks, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Heather Gartrell, Jamie Kissel and Jessica Ploeger, friends of the bride; Whitney Davis, cousin of the bride; and Ashley Wilson, sister of the groom.
Matt Entz, friend of the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were Josh Andres, Ryan Johnson, Marcus Linck and Mario Sanchez, friends of the groom and Chris Bauerle, brother of the bride.
Kayla Devore, friend of the bride, was flower girl, and Toby and Brody Lewis, friends of the groom, were ring bearers.
Ushers included Brian McClain and Rick Huffman, friends of the bride, and Don Wenzl and Trevor Milholland, friends of the groom.
Vocalists were Chris Bauerle, Whitney Davis, Rick Huffman, and Ashley Wilson.
Musicians were trombonists, Derek and Grant Klingenberg, friends of the groom, organist Phil Figgs and pianist Beth Thurn, both friends of the bride.
Other members of the wedding party were candlelighters Amber Langenegger and Lindsay Wiebe, friends of groom, and guestbook attendants Lucinda Gruber and Selena Manche, friends of the bride.
About 350 family members and friends attended the wedding and reception. The noon reception and lunch was held in the Bern Community Building.
Reception attendants were Rhianna Becker, Brandi McCoy, Timothy McCoy, Kayla Renyer and Megan Renyer, all friends of the bride. Cake cutters were Abby Bauerle and Sarah Strahm, cousins of the bride, and Kayla Polluck, friend of the bride. Serving attendants were Jane Bauerle, Joyce Corwin and Glenna Strahm, aunts of the bride, and Dianna Bradford and Kathy Fisher, aunts of the groom.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Doug and Margaret Brewer at the Windmill Inn in Seneca.
The bride graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor?s degree in human ecology with family and consumer sciences education licensure in May 2008.
She is employed as a teacher at Remington Middle School in Whitewater.
The groom is a 2007 graduate from North Central Kansas Technical College, Beloit, in automotive collision repair. He is employed with Epp?s Service in Elbing.
The couple honeymooned in Manitou Springs, Colo., before making their home in rural Newton.
