Senior Scribbles (Week of Nov. 14, 2007)

Greetings from the Hillsboro Senior Center. We hope you will focus on your blessings, family and holiday to come. Come and bless us with your presence this week.

Men?s coffee will begin at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. On Monday, Nov. 19, find out the meaning of your name and bring it to share for an activity called, ?What?s in a Name?? We will have a spelling bee after lunch Tuesday, Nov. 20. On Wednesday, Nov. 21, we will have our Carry in Meal, so please bring your own table settings and a dish or dessert to share. After lunch, Dr. Reeh will speak about common problems in geriatrics. The Senior Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We invite seniors to join us at the Crown Uptown Dinner Theatre, Friday, Dec. 14, in Wichita. The cost of the evening is $42, and includes the show, ?Christmas Show (A Musical Review),? buffet dinner, gratuity and transportation. Please RSVP by Friday, Nov. 30.

A big thank you to our weekly volunteers: Irma Groen?ing, Irma Koop, Margaret Funk, Carol Unruh, Nellie Penner, Frances Rempel, Mariann Unruh, Ann Fast, Frieda Birkle, Darlene Matz and Louise Rahe.
