Senior Scribbles (Week of May 30, 2007)

Games, gab and goodies will be held after lunch Wednesday, May 30, at the Hillsboro Senior Center.

Donut Day starts at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1.

Mary McFadden will be here for foot care by appointment from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 5. Karrie Rathbone, associate professor of biology at Tabor College, will speak after lunch for World Environment Day.

Jeanne Rziha will be offering diabetes classes from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 5, 12, 19 and 26. Cost is $15 per class and $10 for materials. To sign up, call the pharmacy or Jeanne at 947-3048.

The center will hold a fund-raising garage sale and silent auction June 8 and 9. The center is looking for donated clothes, household items, small appliances and miscellaneous items, which may be dropped off at the front entryway. Profits will be used for ongoing expenses.
