Senior Scribbles (Week of August 8, 2007)

Friday, Aug. 10, will be ?Smores Day? at the Hillsboro Senior Center. We will share some fun facts about this campfire treat.

Tuesday, Aug. 14, Mary McFadden will be here for foot care starting at 9 a.m. Call the senior center and make your appointment today.

Wednesday, Aug. 15, is our carry-in meal. Bring your own table settings and a main dish or dessert to share. Dr. Zafar will start hearing checks at 11:15 a.m. and Chief Judge Michael Powers will be our guest speaker after the noon meal. He will give an overview of our judicial system.

We thank our weekly volunteers: Frieda Birkle, Carol Hicks, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Frances Rempel, Margaret Funk, Darlene Matz, Mariann Unruh, Mildred Jantz and Marcella Mohn.

Note that commodity distribution has been moved from 10 a.m. Aug. 8 to Aug. 22.
