Senior Scribbles (Week of April 25, 2007)

Games, gab and goodies start after lunch Thursday, April 26, at the Hillsboro Senior Center for any women who are interested.

Babe Ruth Day is Friday, April 27. We will read facts about the baseball legend and enjoy the candy bar named after him.

Mary McFadden will visit the center Tuesday, May 1, to give foot care by appointment.

May 1 is also designated as May Day and Mother Goose Day. Bring in your favorite nursery rhymes to share before lunch at 11 a.m.

Those interested in participating in an AARP driver safety course May 7 and 8 should call the center at 947-2304 to sign up.

Those who would like to begin receiving the monthly newsletter can call 947-2304 or stop by the center.

A big thank-you to our weekly volunteers: Margaret Funk, Frances Rempel, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Carol Ollenburger, Frieda Birkle, Beryl Steiner, Darlene Matz, Mariann Unruh and Eunice Matz.
