A day trip is planned to McPherson Sept. 22 and Monday, Sept. 27, birthdays during the month of September will be celebrated.

Lunch reservations are due by 9 a.m. the day of the meal. The center is open for anyone wanting to have a lunch meeting or it can be a good place for a meal and fellowship.

We would also like to thank our ?Meals on Wheels? drivers, volunteers, assistant cooks and head cook, Betty Gayle, who help keep us going at the center.

Anyone who might be able to volunteer is encouraged to call 947-2304.

Here’s hoping everyone had a great time at the Senior Fair at Salina on Tuesday.

The prizes have arrived for Wednesday’s Bingo after lunch, which is also the last full day of summer.

Get your hobby things together for “Show and Tell” the following week on Sept. 29.

Come and root for the team on the first at-home pool tournament against Lindsborg Sept. 30 and join us for lunch fellowship afterwards.

Remember to put 10:30 a.m. Oct. 4 on your calendar for the next free check-up from Progressive Health Care of your blood sugar, blood pressure, and pedicure.

If you need us to schedule a free in-home visit on that day, call or let us know by contacting the Agape Center answering service.

We continue to encourage suggestions for programs that interest you, inviting everyone to come for lunch and stay for activities on Wednesdays.

That day and Fridays through the month of October, we plan on carpooling to Hesston Wellness.

We?ve had three people come forward to deliver ?Meals on Wheels? in response to heartfelt pleas. We deliver 30 meals each day.

Our new delivery people are Shirley Bowers, Dorothy Conyers and Betty Crumrine.

Irene Richmond celebrated her 94th birthday with us, providing ice cream cups Sept. 9.

Joan Meyer read a letter pertaining to Sept. 11 and a friend she and late husband, Bill, had made overseas.

Let us know if you?re interested in an AARP driver education course to be here in late October and into early November.

Senior Center Day was Sept. 15. Shirley Moore, Senior Center president, presided at the business meeting. The musical program was given by Velora Ciero.

Come and join us for lunch Sept. 29. The presentation will be by Joe Pickett from St. Luke Hospital.
