Senior Scribbles (Sept. 16, 2009)

For those wanting help with hearing aid problems, Haris Zafar will be at the Hillsboro Senior Center Wednesday, Sept. 16.

?Carry In Day? will also be held Sept. 16. Participants are asked to bring their favorite dish of food, their own table service and join others for lunch. Following the potluck-style meal, Nick King and Herb Bartel will talk about wind farming.

Foot care for $18 will be available from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 17.

Following lunch Tuesday, Sept. 22, Art Unrau will give a presentation on what it was like as a teenager living in the Dust Bowl era.

Looking ahead:

n Flu shots will be given from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, by the Marion County Health Department at the center. Participants are asked to bring their insurance cards.

n Watch for a ?One Day Trips? schedule using the Marion County 12-passenger van.
