Now on to October.

Norine Holtsclaw celebrated her birthday with us Sept. 23. We also sang to Val Morgan, whose birthday was earlier in the month.

The newsletter crew came in Sept. 27 to prepare the pages for mailing. They included Ivanlee Timm, Nora Richter, Beulah and Darrell Weigart, Jane Makovec, Harvey Wells, Ernie Lespag?nard, Evelyn Jewett, Norma Woerz, Gayla Ratzlaff and Lanell Hett.

We were told that those who shop at Carlson?s Grocery and earn points may transfer them to the Marion County Emer?gency Food Bank. That?s a great idea.

Our program on Sept. 28 was Lori Garrett, head of the cardiac rehabilitation department at St. Luke Hospital. She was introduced by Mike Norris, St. Luke Foundation assistant.
