We will be playing Bingo after lunch Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, flu shots will be given. Call for details.

Our business meeting is the third Wednesday of each month and this month will be Oct. 17.

Haris Zafar will also be here beginning at 11 a.m. Oct. 17 for hearing aid checks.

We need volunteers at the center and Meals on Wheels drivers, too.

Anyone who helps will get a free meal the day they volunteer.

Jenny Shipman from the Alzheimer?s Association will be speaking Oct. 24 after lunch. Hope you can join us.

Everyone is welcome to have lunch with us. The cost is $2.75 for those age 60 and over and $4.50 for those under age 59.

It?s a great deal for a very good meal.

We have a trip in the early planning stages to go to Rolling Hills Wildlife near Salina. Watch this column for more details.

The Kansas Department of Transportation rent our building for its annual insurance enrollment meeting.

We also had a class reunion on Old Settlers? Day and a family reunion the next day.

Think of the senior center when planning gatherings.

Our program Oct. 3 was information about Hospice Care of Kansas in McPherson.

Come join us on Senior Center Day Oct. 17. There will be a program after lunch.

Peabody senior center

Baking peppernuts will continue every Monday and Thursday after the noon meal until Nov. 12.

We should be finished before the Thanksgiving holidays. If anything unforeseen happens we will have time for makeup days before Thanksgiving also.

We do have a new dietician and will have some new food being served. We hope you will enjoy the changes.

Meals have a suggested price of $2.75 for those 60 and over and $4.50 for those who 59 and under.
