Please stop by to welcome our new cook, Jessica West, to our senior center. We are very excited to have her join us.
Our upcoming programs Wednesday, Nov. 15, we have Dr. Zafar here at 11 a.m. for hearing aid checks, and then at 12:30 p.m. Marion Home Health is here to do footcare; call for an appointment. Thursday, Nov. 16, is our sing-a-long; we will have our Thanksgiving dinner on Friday, Nov. 17, but call first because it is filling up fast. On Tuesday, Nov. 21, we will have our board business meeting after the noon meal. We hope you will join us soon for a meal.
We need volunteers; call for more information. We have people that play pool from 2-4 p.m. and would like to have more people join them; stop by if you like to play pool. We want to thank everyone for your support to our senior center.

We’re getting the end-of-the-garden produce now, with turnips being brought in this week.
We’re also playing guess the amount of money in the penny jar.
Leland Albrecht brought in treats Nov. 6 for his birthday. We welcomed the Lunch Bunch, classmates and former co-workers, eating lunch with us Nov. 7. Thelma and Larry Blosser brought pepper nuts to share with us.
Our Nov. 8 program was given by Carol Stricker of Hermes Healthcare, which specializes in foot care.
Join us Nov. 22 for our Thanksgiving meal. We are closed Thanksgiving Day.

We’ve been busy this past week. We had a great birthday dinner with many attending. Sonja Koslowsky played piano and after the meal. Dr. Whitely gave a program on caring for people with dementia.
We are now done baking peppernuts; Monday was our last day. Come on by and pick up a bag or two.
Chili Night will beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15. Come for chili and a cinnamon roll. We look forward to seeing you.
Gayla Ratzlaff will be at the center for Medicare Part D from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Nov. 15. On Thursday, Nov. 16, Westview Manor residents will be here for dinner. On Friday, Nov. 17, Peabody Center will host the Senior Citizens of Marion County meeting.
Thanksgiving dinner will be Nov. 20. Holiday brunch will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22. We will be serving breakfast burritos.
Our center will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, and Nov. 24. Be sure to order frozen meals if you need meals over the holidays. The frozen meals will be delivered Wednesday with our regular deliveries, or you can come by and get them. Please let us know in advance.
Stop in, visit with our diners, stay for a meal. We always have the coffee pot on. Meals are $3.50 for 60-plus and $5.25 for 59 and under. You are always welcome. Call for a reservation, 620-983-2226
